The most important decision we make in this life is where we’ll spend eternity. When we choose God’s gift of heaven, we’re not only prepared to die—we’re finally ready to live.
When someone is dying or leaving us, his or her last words are very important. Jesus left earth with these last words given to every believer: go and make disciples! Whether it is next door or another country—we all receive the same admonition. It is not an option, but a command to all who call Jesus Lord.
Nothing is any more effective in drawing someone to Jesus than sharing your personal testimony. A personal testimony catches the attention of those listening and holds the interest of the unbeliever.
By its very nature, a personal testimony is unique. It should describe your life before receiving Christ, how you realized your need for Christ, what steps you took to become a Christian, and how Christ helps you and makes a difference in your daily life.
Many times the greatest position for influence in fulfilling the Great Commission is not a visible and public one. You can let others know what Christ has done for you in two ways: by telling them and by showing them.
You may be thinking I’m not good at sharing; I’m shy; I don’t know what to say, and the list could go on and on. This month at WTOnline, we will be offering helpful ways to take the fear out of witnessing.
