Keeping the Joy

Welcome to WTOnline. This month’s theme is “Keeping the Joy.”

When things are going well, we feel elated. When hardships come, often we sink into depression. But true joy transcends the rolling waves of circumstances.

Joy comes from a consistent relationship with Jesus Christ. When our lives are intertwined with His, He will help us walk through adversity without sinking into unbearable lows. He will also help us manage prosperity the right way. The joy of living with Jesus Christ daily will keep us levelheaded, no matter how high or low our circumstances.

A big difference exists between happiness and joy:

Happiness comes as a result of pleasant circumstances; inward joy comes from knowing and trusting God.
Happiness is unpredictable; inward joy is steady as long as we trust God.
Happiness covers up discouragement; inward joy defeats it.
Happiness is temporary; inward joy is lasting.
